Pinner
Living in Pinner
Despite its proximity to the capital, Pinner, located on the outskirts of north-west London, has retained much of its ancient charm, particularly in the original village centre. Pinner is a picturesque place for a stroll, with its church and delightful mock-Tudor buildings, and there are some lovely places to eat along the High Street, as well as some charming gift shops.
Pinner, considered the wealthier side of the London Borough of Harrow, has a strong sense of community, with four major events held each year. St. George’s Day in April, Pinner Fair in May, Pinner Village Show in Pinner Memorial Park on the second Saturday in September, and the Pinner Pantomime Evening on the last Thursday of November.

About Pinner
About Pinner
Pinner grew rapidly in the 1920s and 1930s as the Metropolitan Railway expanded and John Betjeman’s Metroland with its golden age of Mock Tudor style houses arrived, including the Pinner Wood estate conservation area. Pinner’s popularity is maintained by a strong local community, which hosts annual events such as the Pinner Fair in May, which was granted charter status by King Edward III in 1336, and the Pinner Village Show in September. In the town center, Pinner Memorial Park features a duck pond, café, bowling green, ornamental peace garden, and aviary. It also houses the recently opened Heath Robinson Museum, which is dedicated to the life and work of the witty illustrator who grew up in Pinner in the early 1900s. A 12-mile walk along the River Pinn begins in the town center. There are rugby, cricket, tennis, and football clubs to join, as well as a thriving theatre group, The Pinner Players.
